Galgenmolen Schulen

We then made our way through the tall Sunflowers to one of the two Windmills GALGENMOLEN SCHULEN. It was a wonderful Windmill, situated on top of a little hill. Children were inside the windmill, exploring the inner workings of an authentic, working windmill.

STREET JESTER

As we made our way to the Windmill, we came upon one of many costumed volunteers, the JESTER. I loved his costume as it was so colourful and the children and me of course, were drawn to him. When we entered the Park, we all received "Jester Cards". This was the first opportunity to use them, as the Jester had this box around his neck to play a game. He opens up the box, which has four compartents in it. You place one card in a compartment and then he closes it. You then spin the dial and if your card is the color you spin, He gives you one extra card besides your own card. The idea is to collect more cards as you go along. Of course, I lost my card!

It's a nice little walk where you can see different stones from different geological periods.
There is also a copy of a coalmine workplace.

One of the lovelier spots in the Kempen area was the GROENTETUIN or "Green Garden". In this photo, Johan relaxes among the beautiful flowers, bushes and greenery.

Kapel Zepperen

What is a community without a church. KAPEL ZEPPEREN is a lovely little stone building with plain windows and very tiny inside. Even a small cemetery was beside the church.
