In almost every tavern in town: Hasseltse Koffie
Favorite Dish: When you visit Hasselt don't forget to taste a real 'Hasseltse Koffie'. It is fresh coffee with a taste of creamy liquor and cream on top. Delicious!!
De Orangerie: Fine restaurant in a cosy street
I don't really remember what we ate here (September 2004), but I do remember that the portions were big and the food was excellent.
Located in a cosy little street (the Walputsteeg).
Brasserie Pax: good coffee (and beer)
This is a nice place to relax for a cup of coffee or beer and it is one of the many cafe's on the main square or Markt of Hasselt. They also have a hotel
the Gulden Put / Golden Pot: Great Pasta and Atmosphere
Thanks to VTer Johanl for introducing us to "the Golden Pot." It was a nice quiet restaurant with great pasta!
De Groene Hendrickx
Nice restaurant for a quick lunch or a big meal. The building was a former gin distillery and is now nicely decorated in Provencal style. They also have a big outside terrace.
