The cinema sadly is no more, having been demolished in 1973. There is however a plaque on the building, No 49, where it used to be. It is here that on 16th September 1944 Genial Horrocks gave his famous speech to the officers of XXX Corps at the beginning of Operation Market Garden.

You can find this splendid Sherman tank situated outside of the railway station. Leopoldsburg was liberated on 12 September 1944.
