Known as Landcommanderij ALDEN BIESEN is supposedly the largest castle between France's Loire River and the Rhine River.
The present building dates from the mid-16th to late 18th century. Besides the castle, there is a church, a gallery, an orangery and beautiful French-style gardens.
It is now a cultural center of the Flemish Community.

Alden Biesen is located near the town of Bilzen on the E313 between Liege and Hasselt
