When you want a nice night out in Neerpelt you should start off with a game of pool in Maxx. Afterwards you can go to the street in wich the Compromis, De Tap and Drempel are located. If you are traveling to Neerpelt I suggest you stay away from the canal by night. Nice for a bike ride by day but that all changes by night. That is when the shady characters come out. There are rumours of dealing etc around there by night so just a friendly heads up to avoid that area by night.more
Hechtel isn't really Las Vegas. There are not many places to go out. One good place is Pauls wereld. Untill the end of september 2005 there will still be a restaurant, but this will end in october. With the promise of the main courses being rather generous re serving size, we opted for mains only.
The boys had ribs - "Marinated spareribs with a yummy homemade garlic sauce and spicy sauce or smoked Patrick sauce served with fries. € 17.00"
The ladies had Chateaubriand and Curried Chicken - "Caribbean ' Colombo ' : casserole of vegetables, potatoes , coconut milk and fresh coriander - with chicken € 18.50"
Dinner was accompanied by local beer and Chilean wine (€ 18.00).
We all enjoyed our meals immensely. Top Notch! or should that be "Top Nosh"??
