Favorite thing: Aalst is a not such a big city, but is very well known for its carnaval...
It is a big party during three days where everyone is dancing, singing and ...especially drinking !!
It is just lots of FUN !!

Favorite thing: Do you know this kind of attraction? It's called *eclipse*, It is 48 meter's high, 110kmp..you can try it in Aalst Winter Foor if you have the courage to do it...I'm pretty sure this is not for me ;-(
Fondest memory: This attraction can accomodate to 8 persons, cost 6 euro per ride...my husband did this!!.but for him it was the FIRST time and LAST time!!, sounds scary!, Well, when you hear them screaming, it looks like a lot of fun but no thanks! hehe...am afraid though.

Favorite thing: WinterFoor start a week before Carnival period and ended right a week after the carnival, Thus, it takes two weeks of fun..fun..fun.!!
Fondest memory: The center of Aalst can be like a big amusement park, lots of different rides from kids to adult, check them out at the BiG parking of 'KeizerHall' to the shopping center and market square..it' all pack with fun! plus food store selling waffles, pancake, kebab, fries, hamburger, sausage sandwiches and etc.

Favorite thing: This building is the City Hall...you will enter to the hallway from the pic and the city offices are somewhere inside. I have been there only once and it was long time ago.
Fondest memory: The City Hall is easy to find, It is located at the main square of downtown Aalst, I'm sure you won't get lost. The main entrance is facing the "Langezoutstraat" in Aalst.

Favorite thing: It's quite big, there is a big playing ground for childrens with animation, fountain in the river attracts at the opposite entrance, fishing is allowed....good for fishing hobbiers, you can enjoy walking or even jogging, here is true peacefull with old big trees around you, beautifully green!
Fondest memory: I love to dine in here, they have a restaurant at the park too ' The Melkhuisje' sit on the terrace side with your drinks on a beautiful weather of the day of course....have meals or some snacks is great.
