Pupiter stands for "writing - desk" and this restaurant is well decorated with "antique" furniture i remember from the earlies !

At the occasion of such a sports event, you will never get hungry . The only difference is the price, and maybe, maybe the quality of food.
Nevertheless - i like the atmosphere, the event itself and a good prepared sausage from one of the many occasional stands, or a tasteful oister in one of the upper class restaurants. To be honest - i tasted them both - the day before the official tour there was a tour for tourist cyclers ( more than 15.000 participants) and the day after, i was invited as VIP

This area in east Flanders is famous for it's relaxing landscaping by wanderers and amateur cyclists. I can assure you - they are right.
Equipment: A good pair of shoes - a backpack - a cycle. Make your choice
And don't forget some small money for tasting a good belgian beer in the many good taverns you will find on the flemish roads.

Belgium is rather famous for it's professional bikers.
So i was ready for the grand and international tour.
Physically i was in top condition on April the 2nd./edition 2006.(BTW the ninetheenth tour.)
My leggs were warmed up - my blood pressure low.
Ready for the VIP treatment (very intoxicated persons) i went with some friends to the restaurant "Pupiter" in Kwaremont - had a great lunch and was lucky to enjoy the tour - on wide TV screens, Sporza Live
Equipment: A good chair - a fantastic meal and a special handbag ( not a doggy bag !)
