Of course, this is the ideal region to some serious hiking.
There are several hiking trails. On the picture you can see an example of the signs they use.
The lower sign with the walking boots shows you the road of trail number 11.
The upper sign is a sign of a mountain bike trail.

There is also the Flemish Ardennes Route; In fact this is a car route. But of course, where a car can pass, a bike also can.
Of course the distance is bit longer than the ordinary cyclist tours. (Two loops of 60 km each). Of course no one says that you have to complete the whole tour, you can also decide to do a part of it.

In this region there are several cycling trips. Most of them are indicated with signs along the road. Like this Eddy Merkx cycling tour which takes you along some of the most notorious hills of the Flemish Ardennes. This trip is 48 km long.
