Valkenberg Tourist Traps

  • better above ground

The christmas market(s)held in the tunnels and caves are unique and colourful but dont be fooled in the dark of value for money goods on sale

Unique Suggestions: Walk around the tunnels and caves take a few photographs but dont be tempted to buy anything

Fun Alternatives: Explore the many many street shops where you'll find goods at prices to suit all pockets of a far far superior quality to those lurking underground

The Christmas market in the caves is not in Valkenberg, Belgium (see Welshwaldo's post). It is in Valkenburg, Netherlands which is about 200km further east.

Welcome to VT. Unfortunately, members do occasionally place their reviews in the wrong location. This review dates form 2006, but perhaps you could leave a comment on welshwaldo's page asking him to move the review to the correct Valkenburg? It is possible for members to do that.
