Maybe a little bit wondering? Yes this is a tip about the activities you can do in Puyenbroeck.A tip with educational value. People visiting Puyenbroeck do not intend to have a proper meal. What they want is to enjoy nature, the children want to play. A little snack, refreshing drink is always available but relatively expensive ( coke - at least 2 Euro ). But sitting on a terrace and have a look at the paddlers is nice.
I even think that the campers do not intend to have a meal. They have their own cooking facilities and yes, the dutch campers are known for .......
Problems getting around in the Domain Puyenbroeck - tired feet or no rental bike available.
No problem, take the Mercedes train, cost - i think Euro 2.50 for a tour of about 20 minutes.
Several stops possible
I didn't found out if it is an electrical engine driven bus, or on gasoil. Anyhow it was, in my opinion not disturbing nature or pedestrians/cyclists.
In the parc there are also four big pounds, in the shape of a shamrock (I know, difficult to see on this pic, but believe me, it is a shamrock !)On one of them you can go with rowingboats or waterbikes (of course, the weather should be better then it was the afternoon when I was there for a walk). One if the others is used for fishing.more
