Dry heathland with eolean sands and unfertile deciduous forest around the medieval 'Heimolen' (windmill).
Located somewhat halfway between the Langdorp hamlets Wolfsdonk and Gijmel, near the Oude Mechelsebaan.
Free entrance on roads and footpaths.
The ecological value of Molenheide largely depends on the unique and well preserved windmill which dates back to 1662. The heathland around the mill was preserved because afforestation was prohibited. The area covers the outer Kempen eolean landdunes and is a relict of the former vast Langdorp heathlands.

I've actually been imported into Aarschot by marrying my wife (well, after we did that of course). Besides marrying a wonderful girl, I also found myself a nice place to live.
