The malting and brewing complex De Snoek is one of the few local breweries that was not destroyed during the wars. The copper brewing kettles remained untouched. The visitor gets a nice picture about early 19th century brewing and malting.
On the upper floor visitors can admire miniature fun fair attractions and windmills.
In the museum inn one can taste a blonde or brown Snoek beer or play one or more authentic café games.

Divided over some 20 buildings, we learned about the craftsman and merchants from the first halve of the 20th century: from a blacksmith over a bakery to a shoemaker. In the town-hall/inn one can eat a pancake and/or taste a local beer.
The museum gives a good impression of early 20th-century life in Belgium.
