Lot's of Film & Mosquito Spray & Sunglasses, Brugge
On my first two trips to Bruges, I had to say bring a wide angle for panoramas of this mesmerizing city and of course, lots of film but prior to my last visit, I finally broke down and bought a digital SLR. I got a Rebel and opted for a 10-20mm lens which is equivalent to a 16-35mm film camera. You can readily see the difference in the scope of photos I was able to take even using the camera for the first time. Can't wait to practice more!
Miscellaneous: Insatiable appetite for great food and beer, there's certainly no shortage of either in Bruges. I'd have to say I enjoyed my most recent trip the most of my three to the great city as I had not only my lovely new wife but also three great VT friends.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
Take just the most basic things, as almost everything is readily available in place. Still, if you know you'll arrive late on Saturday or on Sunday it is a good idea to take all the necessary things as you may not find shops open at these times. Also, if you need some medical supplies, better take them with you, becuase there maybe a hassle with presriptions
Photo Equipment: Lots of film - you'll need it. Take an ISO 200 one - it should do the trick both indoor and outdoors. If you have an SLR, taking some filters would also be a good idea. Especially an UV one, to protect your camera lens
