Halve Maan: Belgium Blonde
The drink at the brewery, Straffe Hendrike or "Strong Henry" is really good. Ask for the light beer or the ‘Blonde’. It has a mild coriander smell and it's sweet, making it fairly drinkable. Bottoms Up!!!
Into the early 1900s, Bruges was still home to more than 30 breweries. Today there are just two that remain, and both are well worth visiting for interesting tours and fine beers.
One of them is de HALVE MAAN (The Half Moon homebrewery), the brewer of STRAFFE HENDRIK beers.
