Favorite thing: Don't mention the huge-smile-guy saying "Cheese!", when driving a Porsche Carrera! Ofcourse it is super truper great time to drive around De Haan, and entering De Haan to slow down until very slow. Is it? In De Haan it isnot allowed to drive that fast like a porsche does, so that is no fun ...
Fondest memory: Just kidding, De Haan is a beautiful sea resort, where a walk on the wild side moves the brains. Well,... the thinking, philosophy, physiography, and did I mention the phenomenon of it?

Favorite thing: Just walking on the beach, relaxing atmosphere in wintertime - having a good meal and of course tasting the famous belgian beer.
A cappuchino and cafe, a waffle with cream in one of the rare restaurants still open in this low season.

A political decision to get the Belgian coast more attractive for foreign and local tourists.
During high season, little children with their granddads use to play with toys on the overcrowed beach. In low season those granddads use bigger machinary to rebuild the beach

Favorite thing: The traditional English fashioned and builded homes and appartments. I revisited this city at the beautiful belgian coast during a weekend in the winter period. Non touristic periods - only by residents and some freaks
The beach itself will be reconstructed or rebuild now - getting ready for my one day trips in high seasons

Favorite thing: Strolling along the streets of De Haan, you will notice that no street is straight. This was designed like this. The architect found that it was much cosier and relaxer for pedestrians with only bended streets. And indeed, he was right. It's very pleasant to walk in the streets of De Haan.

Favorite thing: All the older houses are built in a certain style: Anglo-Normandian style with a lot of art deco influences. Around each house, cottage, you will find a green area.
