From time to time there are jelly fish around. You don't find them a lot during the summer months, but mostly during spring or autumn. This blue one is about 20 cm, you'd better don't step on it barefooted.
Breakwaters can be fun to stand on when the water is low, but beware they can be very slippery and when going for a swim stay away from the breakwaters because there can be some dangerous current around the breakwaters.
During the summertime, there are lifeguards on the beach to look after your safety. Some walk along the coastline, others are guarding the coast in their life-boat. You can recognise them by their orange lifejacket.
You are not supposed to swim in areas that are not looked after by the lifeguard.
On the beach, you'll find signs where it is forbidden to swim. Go to the areas where you can see the green flag, here it's safe to swim in the sea.
