Caffe Latte: Some tea and sympathy

by steedappeal Updated Nov 14, 2011

An appealing place near all the shops. Recently taken over by a sympathetic young lady who does a good job with teas and light lunch items.

Favorite Dish: Sandwiches and exotic teas.

*WARNING: the unusual, orange substance to the right of my tea looked like sorbet but was a spicy shock to my mild system!

    Cesar: Great coffee

by margaretvn Written May 31, 2009

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We decided to stop and have a coffee and watch the world go by for a while on the friday afternoon. I chose Cesar's because it was quiet and there was no-one smoking on gthe terrace.

Favorite Dish: We had coffee and it was served with a little biscuit, a soft fruity sweet. The coffee was good and strong. We did have a look at the menu and it looked good but we went to the Italian that evening. The price I give is for our coffees

Same Same But different: Delicious eclectic food

by crazypaws Written May 20, 2009

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This restaurant offers a mix of Asian and European food. On the menu you'll find meat, fish and chicken dishes, and if I'm not mistaken they also offer vegetarian dishes. I've been there several times and was never disappointed. The interior isn't so cozy, but they do have a large terrace out back, it's so much nicer out there! So if the weather is good, definitely ask to eat outside!

This was the restaurant chosen by the organizers of the VT meeting. Excellent choice.
Typical exterior and interior décor. It was a malt factory for the local breweries.
Good food (French cuisine) and a fantastic choice of Belgian beers, more than 50.

Lunch time, a couple of Orval beers and a tasty sandwich (sorry broodje) for us. On Grotemarkt and very busy when we were there, friendly and comfortable though, enjoyed our short visit here, lots of beers to chose from and tasty food.

    Nata: Busiest place

by bonio Written Oct 10, 2008

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Unsure where to eat we chose the busiest place on the Grote Markt, warm enough to enjoy the outside seats too.
Certainly no complaints about the food, all very tasty, a little "arty" from what we usually chose, enjoyed very much though.
Mrs Bonio happy with the choice fror non meat eaters and succumbed to the dessert menu as well.
Comfortable, friendly, prices not too high - an enjoyble visit.

    From the Anatolian Heartlands...

by honacan Written Aug 25, 2002

From the Anatolian Heartlands and the kitchens of the Ottoman Sultans, the Turkish fare
rivals that of the Roman epicures. The influence of the Turkish cuisine stretches into many
far corners of the world, embracing the dishes of most Eastern European and Eastern Mediterranean nations, whose culinary tastes for more than half a Millenium were inspired
by the Imperial Kitchen at the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.

In Turkey the offering and sharing of food is an expression of friendship and hospitality.

Enjoy your food as we say in Turkish 'Afiyet olsun'.
