In the winter a lot of organisations (e.g. youth movements, fanfares, football clubs,...) in West-Vlaanderen organise card evenings ('kaartingen' in Dutch). The concept is that you play the game 'manillen' (easy to learn) in a team of two against another team of two. Each team puts in one coupon that you can buy from the organisers. The team that wins the game gets both the coupons. When you leave, you can exchange your coupons for the product the organisers chose. For instance, if it's a towel-kaarting, you can exchange your coupons for towels. These evenings can be really a lot of fun. Just laughing and drinking while you play a nice game.
