From omlettes to steaks, the menu is good and not over priced. The restuarant is clean and the staff have a welcoming attitude. Belgian hospitality at its best.
Favorite Dish: Steaks are a must not a better steak in Belgium come from owners family farms (Fresh and Local)

Just across the river Leie, the Rijselstraat becomes a shopping paradise for the french neighbours of Menen. In weekends ( they are open on sundays) the french cars can't find a parkingspot and there is constant row of walking people along the shops. The shops sell chocolat and other sweets, but you can also buy clothes in this area.
All those shoppers are bound to get hungry, so there are also some restaurants in the area.
The Greek restaurant El Greco is one of them.
They have some good greek food, in an atmosphere that feels like Greece, but artificial........
Open:
19:00-01:00
weekends and holidays also 12:00-15:00
Closed on wednesday.

A very good chinese restaurant in Menen is the Jade Paleis, at The Grote Markt. It is located just behind the cityhall and Belfry.
We were sitting next to the aquarium with koi, who kept us busy during the waiting. In our oppinion it took just a bit too long before we got our next course. We ordered a menu with 4 courses, it took them over 2and1/2 hours to serve that.
But the food was sooooo good! It was worth the waiting.
And if you don't want to wait that long you can order takeaway.
Open:
12:00-15:00 and 18:00-24:00
closed on thursday

We were welcomed by the italian host of Al Ghiottone. It gave the place a real authentic feeling, because he was speaking italian all the time. (Don't worry he will understand you).
The food was great, and the restaurant had a certain class.
Open:
12:00-14:30 and 18:30-22:30
Closed on monday the entire day and saturday in the afternoon.

This brasserie was looking OK from the outside, but when we went in we were in doubt.
It didn't look very clean, and the furniture was really well used.......
But then came our lunch. It was great, good portions, and it tasted delicious.
