All big departement stores (H&M, Hema, Inno, Naf Naf, C&A, Body Shop, Free Record Shop,.......) are in Kapellestraat and Adolf Buylstraat. But don't forget the little streets around, Christinastraat, Louisastraat.
The Alfons Pieterslaan, right in front of the station, also has a lot of shops like GB (supermarket), clothing shopes, and the best skate-snow and surf shop in town Steve's Skate Shop.

The Kapellestraat is the most important shopping street of Oostende.Here you find all the best known shops like H&M,C&A,Inno,HEMA etc.The shops are also open on Sundays.

The main shopping street in Oostende is a long, pedestrianized thoroughfare lined with the usual mainstream stores such as H&M and Belgium's main department store Galeria Inno. While it's nothing that unique and the architecture is pretty mundane, there's no denying it's a great place to people watch. The day I was there, it was a Thursday afternoon and it was very crowded and bustling with people.

ESSENTIAL for men & women!

This is probably the only shop at the moment where i can find my clothes.
Without this shop I would have to go very far for nice modern clothes...

Lots of choice is jeans, jackets, shirts, shorts, skirts,....

Quality brands like Diesel, GSUS Industries, Pépé, Esprit, Mexx and new brands like Sabotage, 2nd Heaven, ...

You find often nice knitwear at reasonable price.
For people who like to dress modern & sportily. Recommended!!!!

Clothes are for male & female and also kids.
Checkout the sales of the beginning of January and after the summer.
You pay half the price.

Ostend is a good place to buy luxury goods (designer clothes and accessories). Wapenplein is the main square and the principle shopping streets lead off this. Kapellestraat, Ostend's high street, has the Inno department store as well as various stores selling housewares. The main shopping streets are; Adolf Buylstraat, Alfons Pieterslaan, Christinastraat, Kapellestraat and Wapenplein.

Where did my souvenirs go? Oh, that’s right I ate them. Now if a store is going to specialize, this is the way to do it… garish lighting and hundreds of bins of sugar treats. If they run out of your favorite treat, there’s a second Candy Shop close by at Vlaanderenstraat 7.

Oostende is well-known for its fresh seafood, so it only makes sense to either grab a meal at a seafood restaurant or buy some fish from the fish market. I tried a somewhat disappointing stew here, but the quality of the ingredients and freshness is first-rate.

This is one of the newest shops in Ostend with women/men clothes for the generation of 16-36 (or for anyone who feels younger ;)
It has very modern brands like GSUS industries, AEM'KEI, .... It's a sort of funky/extravagant shop.

Tops, sunglasses, swimwear, pants, shoes, nightlife clothes, skate-stuff,... lots of choice, worth a visit.
