This little aquarium between the train station and Fish Market (Vistrap) won't take you long to look around but it's probably worth a quick look inside. Admission is €2 per adult and it seems to close for lunch from 12 to 2pm.
The information given is fairly limited but does have an English translation in most places, it's fairly old fashioned as aquariums go nowadays.
North Sea Aquarium
Flora and fauna from the North Sea. Next to a collection of shells and seaweed you can admire the aquariums with fish, crustaceans and shellfish from the North Sea. The
aquarium is situated on the Fishermen’s Quay
At 5 minutes walk from the station or at a turn of 180 degrees if you were just facing the harbour of the fishermen, you will be in front of the small aquarium.
Inside you can measure the size of shrimps, scampies and other eatable animals, so you can have an idea if the one you are getting to eat later on in the restaurant, fits to your expectations. Don't forget to bring your measurement ribbon!
Another funny thing to do is imagine the thoughts of those aquarium fishes. More about that later in the aquariumlogues!
In this aquarium you can see the flora and fauna from the North Sea.
They have a nice collection of shells and aquariums with fish and shellfish from the North Sea.
