On the harbour side are small fish stalls selling portions of seafood, costing 3 euros and upwards. We selected what looked like a dish of king prawns with a piece of crab claw meat at the end. How disappointing - its all crab, which is OK if you really really want all crab.
Fun Alternatives: Ask what the dish is first before you buy it. Appearances can be deceptive.

This is the house were he lived. The paintings are all reproductions and the only object original are the seashells and masks. Not very expensive.. but it is not worth it at all.
Unique Suggestions: Don't go. Pass on
Fun Alternatives: If you like James Ensor go to the Art museum of Ostende. There is a few paintings of him and in the Art museum of Antwerp.

This is the worst beach of Belgium. There is a lot of people you can't even see the sand! And if you see the sand you want to be sure not hurting your feet because there is a lot of garbage within the sand. The water is not a nice colour, the Port is not far...
Unique Suggestions: Be careful with your feet and try to catch a nice day, sunny day.
Fun Alternatives: Go further to the west, near the France border. Those beaches are nicer and with less people. The water is nicer too.
