This is my favourite bar of all, on the condition that the owner is there. Owner Dirk knows everything about music and if he's in a good mood he plays fabulous music (rock, pop, ...) the whole night. (If the owner is not there, the young people always want to play alternative music, which is not my taste).
Good selection of beers and strong drinks.
Only downside: not a lot of girls seem to like this bar.
Update: Owner Dirk stops at the end of 2007. He says the new owners will keep about the same style, but we'll have to see. If you're in Roeselare in the end of December 2007, definitely go there, because there will be party all the time.
Dress Code: Anything you want.

I know some people are always looking for an Irish pub if they go somewhere, so this is the one in Roeselare. It's your typical Irish pub, without (or almost without) live music though. It's a nice place to have a drink and a chat, and it's often full (in the weekends, but also in the evenings with people coming from the close-by cinema).

The perfect place for when you want to have a chat with your friends in a nice environment and without loud music. Wide choice of drinks, and a limited choice of snacks (cheese, salami, olives, soup, croques, spaghetti, lasagna and one fish dish).
The special feature of this place is the old pictures on the walls (I guess a couple of hundreds), and some are really funny.
The owner (Peter) is really nice and likes to talk.
Not open on Monday, Tuesday and the last Sunday of each month.

Les poupées passionnées : the sisters Renée en Suzanne.
These ladies have made a so called world tour, and now they came back, and they are sharing their experiences with the audience.
They teach especially the ladies how to behave in special and absurd situations.
This was also one of the special acts. They are really funny.

November 2003, it finally was time we visited Roeselare. A town we have heard much about, but was very unknown to us. Roeslare was not founded yet but nomads were in the area 35 000 years before...
