Les Petits Poulets: Good Place for Grilled
This is a newly restaurant in Rumbeke outside Roeselare city. They called themselves eatery not a restaurant as stated in the business card (whatever) but for me they are for both. The location is very nice, just across (Sterrebos) park on a corner
The owner of this place has already a few restaurants around in West Flanders, but they were all different. This one he'd like to ran as specialty for grilled
Coming in the weekend especially in the evening is necessary to have a reservation. They also accept groups but reservation must made in advance. Closed on Monday and Tuesday, but during the closing day they will accept reservations of groups from 15 to 20 person
The business hour is a bit tricky. Opening from: Wednesday to Thursday 5.30pm to 11pm. Friday to Saturday from: 5.30pm to 1am. Sunday from: 12pm to 2pm and from 5.30pm to 1am (midnight)
The interior has kind of rustic style, wooden floor, precisely for what they called himself Les Petits (small) I like the bar style, very cute and quite attractive as a bar inside the restaurant
Service is pretty good and quickly although it was very busy. The staffs were walking around to look the tables if anyone need something
In the menu card you have choices of grilled. We both order spare ribs. The ribs was serve with salad and two different sauce and the portion is large.
You can choose a spare ribs with bread, or with potato which is €1 less, but we'd like with french fries (frites) only €1 difference.
We're very satisfied with the service and the food and the friendliness in this restaurant. And especially the location! A good place to hunt for food in a quiet location
Favorite Dish: The spare ribs are highly recommended. The meat has very good taste soft and was well marinated. If you choose spare ribs with french fries, the fries was really good, they are thin and purely fresh made

El Greco restaurant: Delicious Greek food
It is my first time in this restaurant, my mother in-law treat for a dinner. I was anxious to see the menu, as international cuisine I was very curious. Many choice in the menu card, there's a list of Greek food.
But we choose a menu which includes: apetive, appetizer, main dish and coffee afterwards. Coming in the weekend is necessarily to make a reservation in advance
On weekdays is not a problem, El Greco restaurant can accommodate to 60 person, also they're accepting party celebration with reservations beforehand.
When we come-in we were greeted by the owner, he is so friendly and welcoming. Is a family business, the boss, daughter and son are the one who serves in the restaurant while the mother is the chief cook
The interior is simple I like the wall decoration, framework hanging on the wall all photos from Greece. When the weather is good or during summer time, terrace is available. The sphere of the restaurant is not hundred percent Greece but at least we feel little bit in Greece with Greeks music in the background
The service is pretty quick even though is quite busy on a Sunday. Choosing the monthly menu, two person must have the same choose. The monthly menu is not available for one person. But there were plenty of choice for separate dish from the card
Me and my mother in-law has the same choice fish, while my partner and father in-law choose meat. Food was served in one big tray which one part the fish and the other meat, extra salad which was included in the menu served separately in bowl
This was a good experience in a Greek restaurant in Belgium, I remember during my trip to Greece a couple of years ago I like very much the food but did not expected to have a good Greek restaurants in Belgium. Highly recommended to those seek for Greek restaurant during their trip in Belgium on West Flanders side

Tafel 14: My favourite in Roeselare
Roeselare is getting some nice restaurants the last couple of years. For my 31st birthday we went to 'Tafel 14' and were really pleased. The place is really nicely decorated, really warm. The food was very good, nicely presented and not too pricy. The service was fast and friendly, but sometimes a bit chaotic.
I hope we find an occasion again soon to go to eat there.
KWIEK ORIENT: HAPPY TRENDY ORIENTAL WOKBAR BEST PRICE/QUALITY!!!

On the card all the calories are mentionned (for those who are interested).
Also menus or in combination with cinema ticket even! Very trendy restaurant.
Starters : €2.78 - €9.28
Headdish €8.88 - €15
In a normal Chinese restaurant you pay double!
Also child friendly restaurant or for big groups
See website below for more info
Favorite Dish: Double Chicken with mixed vegetables & yeoboseyo sauce & woked jasmine rice
't Walhalla: Little choice, great food
Actually this place is a bar, but they serve food also. You can only choose from about 5 dishes, but every month or so they change the menu. I have never been disappointed here. And since this is a bar, you can spend a whole evening (and night) here.
Like almost any Flemish bar they have a wide selection of Belgian beers.
Prices are low.
Since a couple of weeks (March 2007), there are new owners here. I went there once since then, and they kept it the same. So let's see how it evolves.
Favorite Dish: Something with goat cheese, but I forgot the exact name.
Park Rodenbach: A great place for festivities

Gasthof Vijfwegen: a warm drink (or a beer), after a cold walk
Convieniently located just when you leave the Sterrebos. After a walk in the cold weather it is great to relax here and have a drink, or a bite to eat. As we were there in the morning we only had a drink.........
't Roodhuis: Old fashioned comfort
Het Roodhuis is dating back to 1700. It used to be a bakery, cooper and inn. Today it is a bar, where you can have some good meals too.
The atmosphere here is good. In summer you can sit outside and enjoy a drink while resting from your walk or bicycle ride. In winter the stove is burning and you have got to be inside.....
de Meester brasserie: time for coffee and waffle
At the Grote Markt, in the centre of Roeselare you will find several places to have a drink or a bite to eat. Filip took us to brasserie de Meester.
They serve great waffles.
Petrouska: a la carte
Petrouska is a very popular restaurant. If you want to go here in the weekend it is good advicce to make reservations.
Favorite Dish: The whitefish filled with salmon was just delicious.
