This 'pralineur' is a cousin of my Mom actually. Their slogan is 'The Best of Belgium', and they might well be right. Their own creations of Belgian chocolates (we call them pralines) are amazing. I've eaten a lot of pralines in my life, but these are definitely the best. They make the perfect gift also, as they not only taste delicious but also look great. On their website you can see some creations in the shape of Belgian endives or 'frietjes'. When you go to the shop they help you out really good and you can see them making the pralines. The price is rather high, but the pralines are totally worth it.
The shop is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Every Tuesday until 12 at noon there's the weekly market on the two main squares in the centre of Roeselare. Nice to walk around for a while and try some local food.
What to buy: Food, clothes, cd's,... .
What to pay: Everything's normally cheaper than in the shops.

November 2003, it finally was time we visited Roeselare. A town we have heard much about, but was very unknown to us. Roeslare was not founded yet but nomads were in the area 35 000 years before...
