If you are coming from Het Sterrebos (Star forest) towards the Church Square (kerkplein) via the Hoogstraat, you should not miss the beautiful Bailiffs House on your left hand side.
I am not sure but this Bailiff House is probably one of the oldest houses in Rumbeke. It was built in 1617 in assignment of Pieter Goudenhoofd, Bailiff of Rumbeke.

Along the Mandellaan you can see the Kazand Mill.
This Kazand Mill is build in 1813 on a location where stood once an oil stamping – stake mill (around 1713).
This Kazand Mill was classified in 1944, and completely repaired after a fire in November of 1954.

Inside the St Peter and St Paul church at the Church square (kerkplein), you can see the sepulchral monument of Jacob de Thiennes (he died in 1534), lord of Rumbeke and of Katharina van Oignies (she died in 1545).
There is also a Romanesque baptismal font which dates from the 12th century and a beautifully sculptured communion rails from 1734.

At the Church Square (kerkplein) in Rumbeke you can not miss the big St Peter and Paul church.
During the big War (World War I – 1914 – 1918), the tower of this church was completely destroyed.
So it was rebuilt in 1924. And recently it was completely restored, so now it looks like new.
