Favorite thing: Basilica is situated in the Western part of the city on the hill. It was began to built in 1905 in honour of 75-years anniversary of Belgium independence. The works were long and WWI in 1914 stopped the process. The works were proceeded in 1919 but year by year the plans of the final construction were changed (WWII played the role too) and only in 1960's the building was finished. Although the interior we see nowadays exists since 1930.

Favorite thing: In front of Basilica if you go from the center you can see the park. I am not sure although but it seems it has a name Leopold Park. There are a lot of places where you can get nice shots with Basilica as well as you can relax in the calm paths in the park.

Favorite thing: Since 1997 the dome was opened for the visitors and you can climb up to the top (lift is available) to enjoy fantastic views of the city. It costed EUR 4 but you have unbelievable impressions (you go by lift).

Favorite thing: Actually it's better known as Basilique Nationale du Sacre Coer. It's the biggest church in the art deco style in the world. It's pretty new building, finished in 1979.
