Not just in Brussels, but anywhere in Belgium, try the fantastic Belgium beers! Even if you are not a beer drinker usually and I certainly wasn't, once tried, always smitten! I tried a 'white beer' first, called Hoogaarden. It's taste was like nothing I had ever tried before and I was well and truly hooked!
Bars in Belgium have menus for their beers! There are so many and it's great fun trying all the different flavours, well as many as you can manage.
Fondest memory: The lovely clothes and such good quality.
very lot of brussels beer..
i like the duveltje !!
Belgium is the country with the best beer in the world (we try to be objective). Therefore, your stay in Brussels cannot be complete without a visit to one of the many typical and beautiful cafes and pubs that you will find here. Try the local beers of Brussels Gueuze or fruit beer (cherry beer, raspberry beer, peach beer ) or a wonderful Trappist beer, made in one of the Abbeys of Belgium. Be Careful when drinking a Trappist beer. These beers tend to be very strong (between 8 and 11.5 percent of alcohol !!).

Fondest memory: Oh dear. Some say there are 400 brands, others say there are 800 brands. Trying to get through them to find out could be dangerous and you’ll probably get hooked on one you like before long and stop going on. Just order a different one each time until you find your winner. For me Leffe Blonde is unbeatable. Do experiment a little anyway.
The bars! Belgium is well known for its non-ending list of beers, so don't waste your time and test them all. Good luck!
Restaurants are also very good and cheap. Around the Stock exchange it has become the most trendy place to go out all the week long.
You must go to an outdoor pub and enjoy a beer. I don't even drink (or really like) beer, but I did in Brussels. The picture shows Market Square and that's a great place for a beer or two...or three...
Fondest memory: Not many would consider this memory 'fond,' but I will never forget getting caught up with Euro2000 (European Soccer event) the first night I was in Brussels. The riot police where out in full gear, and when a friend and I went to investigate, we found ourselves running with a crowd of revelers celebrating Turkey's win. It was a bit scary, but exhilarating at the same time.
Fondest memory: Arriving early in the morning with my buddy, making our way to the Grand Place at 9:00 AM and having our first Belgian beer in Belgium. The way I figure, it was still 3:00 AM in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States, and it was last call at the local bar. Okay, its a stretch, but do you really need an excuse to drink a Belgian beer at 9:00 AM when you are on vacation?
Favorite thing: the nicest thing about brussells is the beer.that is of course apart from the nice belgique people on vt.
