Brewery LEFEBVRE

1. I tried Moeder Overste (Mother superior) a couple of years ago. It is a nice copper coloured triple like beer but it didn't left a big impression on me. I think I found the taste too sweet for me.It is not that I disliked it, but I rather would try out another beer then drink this a second time.2. Another beer I tried was Floreffe Triple. It is unfiltered beer and that is why it doesn't show transparant in the glas. It was a nice beer to try out.3. Barbar is another beer I tried out years ago. It is a beer that is brewed and sweetened with honey. It was refreshing, yet not my favorite taste. But sur don't let it withhold you from trying it out.Website of the brewery.Adress:Chemin du Croly 52Rebecq-Quenast, 1430BelgiumTel: +32 (0)67 67 07 66 Drink slowly, enjoy the taste....and never leave a glass empty nor full! That is what my late uncle said when he died with a smile on his face and...

Brewery DE TROCH

by irisbe

Belgium beer is So good you might want to drink more then you can take! There is a saying that there is a Belgian beer for any taste. When Kinga visited Antwerp she said she never drank any beer, she just don't like it.When I let her try the Banana beer of De Troch, she changed her mind! This beer is a beer with low alcohol percentage, based on a geuzebeer and enflavoured with banana taste.I am not sure if you still can call it a beer though `-)It is one of the many other fruit flavoured beers they have.Picture 1 is the Chapeau Banana Lambic.~~~~~~~~~~~~Brouwerij De Troch Langestraat 20Wambeek, 1741Belgiumphone: +32 (0)25 82 10 27 Drink slow, enjoy the taste............. and go bananas! hang on there!

This name refers to an building that used to stand in the middle of the square and that was a public bascul. However during Napoleon's occupation it burned down. Beware of the beer!!! DE LEYERTH-URTHEL

by irisbe

Belgium beer is so good you might want to drink more then you can take!Don't drink that much that you mistake the bearded creature being the barman... This one doesn't take any orders!I must admit that I still have to try my first Urthel beer.I saw the tap on one of the beer festivals in Antwerp and it looked so great I could not resist taking a picture of it.The Brewery has several beers on sale: A Bock beer, a strong dark ale; a triple like beer called Urthel Hibernus Quentum; and a few more. When I will have tried one I sure will add it on my page.Unfortunately the homepage of the Brewery didn’t work.I hope this is not an omen?Contact of the brewery:Brouwerij De Leyerth / UrthelKrommekeerstraat 21Ruiselede, 8755Belgiumphone: +32 (0)51 68 89 99Official website. Beware of the beer!!! MOORTGAT Brewery

by irisbe

Belgium beer is so good you might want to drink more then you can take!1. It's a Duvel!!!Don't sell your soul to a Duvel!Duvel is a high fermentation beer that is made using the finest barley malt and hops. No additives or preservatives are added. It is not pasteurised and therefore entirely pure and natural beer. Secondary fermentation and long maturation take place in the bottle, giving the beer its highly distinctive taste. That is why you should never keep Duvel in your fridgerator, unless just before you decide to drink it cold. If stored too long in the cold the living yeast might die. When poured into the traditional cup-shaped sampling glass, the beer foams into a generous layer of froth. Duvel has a fine balance between a fine aroma and subtly bitter taste .2. Maredsous from the tap!Not only it is a cheese named Maredsous... but there is also the beer brewed at the Duvel factory...
