by dr.firas

Phones are like every where accessable!but one thing is sure, if you are living in Europe, it is always better to use your mobile, the phone service is good, but it is always more time and some times bad conection and plus some times missed! Mobile, it is for sure much expensive but no problems in conection!

My Birthplace!

by dr.firas

I was very confused!in my passport I was born in Louvain in the St.Luc Clinique Maternite, you can see I was traped, I went to Leuven and asked for the hospital, and they told me it is in Brussles, when I went there I thought finally I'm in the place! but later my mama called me and told me, that before the sepaeration of the 2 Universities of Lueven: the Flemish and French, the St.Luc used to be in Leuven, now it is moved to Brussles, anyway, I was happy to know that the Doc who let me see the light, is still alive and active, a pity it was Sunday and I couldn't meet him, but anyway I have his number, I'll do this some day later :-)

Buying beers and glasses

by marktbike

In Belgium you'll find the most wonderful beers, served in the most beautiful glasses. If you think about buying some of them, carefully avoid the shops close to the station or the Grand'Place in Bruxelles. Choose instead the supermarkets located in the area of the Stock market. You can pay 4 euros at the supermarket the same thing you pay 20 at the shop!

Belgian Beers

by Luchonda

Belgium - and the local beers are famous all over this world - for details - look at other pages - Irisbe/Lys Dor So why a Carlsberg or so local called a "Calleke" - we have more than 250 different beers to taste !! Taste the belgian beers - but take your time and be a Bobby - no alco drinks when going to parties- festivities or private parties §

The biggest tourist trap of Belgium

by IngaA

Beer :)))))))))Just famous great beer The main tourist trap in Belgium.I remember even a forum discussion about the best beer. So long, so many postings.Belgium won this beer competition by the absolute majority of VTers who voted for Belgian beer (me among them). This trap is fo beer-lovers. Be careful when drinking Belgian beer. I know, U'll be delighted and U'll want MORE and MORE :)))))After that U risk to "on 4 legs" from the bar:))))) You drank ALL the beer in the bar????Alternative: GO to the another bar :)))))

by irisbe

Almost as good as the Belgian beer `-)The Dutch beer from Oranje Brewerie:Het Elfde Gebod, The eleventh commandment, served at the pub carrying the same name in Antwerp. well for once you are forgiven... it is not a bad beer! Go look in the books what the Eleventh commandment means...hehehe unless you can read Dutch!ok... it means:You shall enjoy!

by Ronald_T

In Antwerp, the area around the central station, especially at the diamond neighbourhood, are a lot of shops with golden watches, gold chains and other jewelled things. Think twice before you buy something there. I doesn’t mean that all shops over there are corrupt, but beware for false goods.

by Paul2001

I found that I was somewhat indifferent to Namur. This is probably because it pales in comparison to Brussels and Brugge. This city lacks any big ticket things to see. The fortress on the hill above the city is interesting from a military science point of view but if you are a serious world traveler its nothing that you have not seen before. The views from it of the Meuse Valley are quite nice however. Incidently my travel guide consider the city's cathedral to be the ugliest example of Baroque architecture in Belgium. Go to Dinant instead. It is smaller and prettier.(I hope to have a page on it soon)
