It is inform on cheaper formulas like B-dagtrip if you are going to visit a tourist attraction. Or a formula like a 10 rides pass if you are staying longer in Belgium. by hopang Antwerpen-Centraal Railway Station in Antwerp is one of the landmarks in Belgium. It is located in the heart of Antwerp. Lots of shophouses and shopping complexes are located around the Central Railway Station. You may travel from Antwerp to many large cities with rail links in Continental Europe. Antwerpen-Centraal Railway Station was completed and opened to traffic in 1905. It has four levels with 14 platforms. The main terminal building was designed by Louis Delacenserie. In a way it has become a tourist attraction with lovely facade suitable for some souvenir sanpshot! Leave a Comment Theme: Train

by belgianchocolate You can safe quit some money if you wait for the right period to travel and you can even safe more by chosing the right company. 'Ryanair' brings you safe and low cost to Belgium. The name ' Brussels south-Charleroi' might be a bit misleading. But getting to Brussels is no problem. The price is not the only reason why I like this company. You can check in up to 40 minutes before your flight leaves. No fuss with numbered seats...friendly fast. Always check on the website for conditions and destinations. Things change now and then. Brussels metro train by Paul2001 Brussels has a small but very efficient metro system. It was very helpful way to get about the city. One of the things I like about it that I have never seen in any other metro systems was the computerized signs that show you where all the trains are along the metro system. This way you have some idea. There are three colour coded lines, yellow, orange and red. A single ticket for a ride on the metro costs 1.35 Euros. You must stamp your ticket before you hop onto the train at the turnstiles. A strip of five will cost you 5.95 Euros while for 8.90 Euros you can get a ten strip ticket. For 3.60 Euros you can get a 24 hour ticket that will get you on all of Brussels, metro stations, trams and buses. This is ideal for the tourist like me. Unfortunately the website listed below is only in French. Leave a Comment Theme: Subway/MetroPhone: 02 515 20 00Website: www.stib.be

Best way to travel around in Belgium is by train ! You get everywhere - rather cheap and when there is no federal strike - you will be on time ! And buying a ticket on the Eurostar -you can reach the impressive cities like London or Paris - in a minimum of time, approx. 2hrs 20 to get there, in the inner hearts of the metropolic cities. A rather different way to visit Belgium ! This way of visiting parts of provinces in Flanders is very popular ! (Waasmunster area-Antwerp) It is not cheap - about 150 euros - but spectacular ! Reservation and forecast about weather conditions is a must ! Pic 3/4 : The smurfs celebrate their 50th anniversary - Smurfs strip albums created by Peyo in 1954. But how will the world of the Smurfs adapt to that of the 21st century? If the past is anything to go by, and the future will be a digital production, the answer must be: smurfingly! Belgium is a small country and it makes travelling there very easy. From Ghent: about 1 hour to Brugge, Brussels and a bit less to Antwerp. About 2 hours to Paris (Gard du Nord) by TGV 'Thalys' (people say it's expensive but U can get significant price reduces if U buy ticket in advance). Leave a Comment Theme: Train

by Ronald_T With the public transport. Because Belgium is a small country you can best driving around with the train or bus . Taxis are very expensive here, and the public transport brings you everywhere. Using the train there is always a possibility of a strikes; sometimes trains are later than announced. But here in Belgium the have a very curious opinion about trains being late. Suppose the 11 am train is too late, we still call it the 11 am train, even when he arrives half an hour later! ;-))) Using a car mostly results in a traffic jam. Theme: Train

by x15 NMBS is the name of the National Railway System in Belgium. It is very efficient, most of the time, clean and the best way to travel locally. The tickets: Go Pass- for people under the age of 26. It is a ten-ticket ride. You fill them in everytime you take the train. Go Pass is transferable and can also be shared by several people. This is the cheapest way to use the train. Go Pass costs €45.00---that means, €4.50 per ride, may it be near or far. You just fill in the card from departure station to arrival station. Railpas- same function as the Go Pass but it is for people from 26 years to 59 years old. This costs €73.00 meaning €7.30 per ride. This is practical if you are travelling for long distance places. Keycard- same function as the Go Pass and Railpass but for short distance places only. For example, if you are in Bruges, you can visit the beaches by train with the keycard---ex: Brugge to Knokke, Blankenberge, Zeebrugge, Torhout, etc. This card costs €17.00---that is, €1.70 per ride. Good value especially if you are planning to go to the beach side frequently. For more informations regarding fares and schedules, please visit their website.
