Since 1 July 1997, travelling by bus in Hasselt has been free of charge. Buses operate very frequently. They take you to the town centre in no more than 10 minutes. This means that tourists can reach all our sights easily. Two busstops are particularly well-placed for the newly arrived tourists. For train passengers, of course, it's at the railway station. Car drivers and coach visitors are advised to park their vehicles in the car park at the Grenslandhallen and take the city bus (H3) to the centre. By train to Hasselt Travelling by train is environmentally friendly and, as far as Hasselt is concerned, also extremely easy. Hasselt is an IC station. Direct, hourly connections to the Limburg capital operate seven days a week from Antwerp, Blankenberge, Brussels, Ghent, Leuven and Liège..
