Smoking is still allowed inside in Brussels, so every bar we went to was very smoky. We bought a bottle of Febreeze at the Delhaize to use on our clothes in the morning.
This is not meant to sound racist but the Belgians have a serious problem with Moroccans and the Turkish. JUST BE CAREFUL
I think that the streets in Brussels are the most confusing streets i have ever seen. You think you arer going one way but end up in the total opposite direction. Very confusing city to get around.
Brussels is a very expensive city due to the many international civil servants and diplomats living there.
just don't walk around trainstations on your own at night, especially Antwerp and Brussels.Watch out with taking metro/underground in the eveningUse common sense in cities!
Never buy goods with other currencies in shops or restaurants, especially Brugge they give you a lower exchange rate than the official site.
In some areas you think you are not in Europe, because you only see Arabs and Black people.
One thing that demands caution is the alarming rate of pickpockets in tourist areas. It is advised that you keep your purse (ladies) close to you at all times.
