Favorite thing: Back in the old days the town had many antique water taps. But a few still remain. They come as a great relief when you get thirsty while walking about in 40 degree type weather. A few years ago I was convinced that only 2 water taps remained, so during my last visit to Stolac I kept my eyes on the lookout for "cesme". Here is the list of places in Stolac where I spotted a "cesma":
-in Ada
-by Behmenluk
-at the entrance to Uzinovici
-at the gate of the Orthodox Church
-by Begovska Cuprija

Favorite thing: Stolac used to have several watermills before the war, some were destroyed but the one in the picture is still beautiful and standing. At one point in fact there were some 20 mills along the river Bregava.

Favorite thing: I would have to say that the key feature of Stolac is the river Bregava that flows through the town. The river branches in several places and forms waterfalls all over the town. To take away from the beauty of the river many gorgeous bridges were constructed across the river over the centuries they are also a must see!
