The source of the Bosna river (Vrelo Bosna) is situated in a lovely park which has several little streams and ponds with extremely clear water. People fill their water bottles either from taps or straight out of the stream.
It is very pleasant to stroll in the park under the shady trees and there are also a few stalls which sell various things.
The Labud restaurant belongs to the Ilidza Hotels at the other end of the Velika Aleja.
At Vrelo Bosne (the source of the Bosna river) you will find the Restaurant Labud in the park by the ponds.
The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating and serves local specialities.
Please note that the restaurant hasn't got a toilet but a few meters away are the plastic pay toilet huts and outside those there is a water container and soap to wash your hands.
Favorite Dish: I opted for a minced meat dish called "Pljeskavica" with French fries which cost 8 KM. The additional bread which we didn't order but came in handy cost 0.5 KM.
As a drink I had a natural lemonade (prirodni lemunad) from freshly squeezed lemons für 3 KM. Almost always you will get the sugar on the side so that you can decide how much you want to put in it.
From Vrelo Bosne back to Ilidza ie to the end of the Velika Aleja we took a fiaker. It was good fun. We paid 15 KM for the ride which seemed a fair price for the two of us. We were first quoted the price in Euro which was 8 Euros.
Vrelo Bosne is a special water zone. Since it is the source of the Bosna river it has to be kept clean. With all the people visiting for recreational purposes special care must be taken that people leave their footprints only. So please use the public toilet and the waste baskets.
