  • The most colourful street in Zenica

This is in the centre of town. It's where the cafes and burgerbars are located. They have some nice nightclubs but they are usually very crowded as they aren't that many places for the young people to go and enjoy themselves.

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There are two National Restaurants in Zenica, they are the best places to eat for selection and good prices.

Favorite Dish: Burek was my fav item but stuffed peppers are also good and if all else fails or you're really picky order chicken.

You can't miss it as it's the only pink building in town. Went to a mass one day just to see but it lasted so long and you have to stand up all the way through the ceremony..

Zenica Warnings and Dangers

  • by Colleen01 Written Aug 25, 2002

Though locals (and everyone else) will tell you there are no mines in Zenica you can't be sure so wide open fields up on Smetov aren't necessarily safe, though in comparison to other cities in BiH Zenica is close to mine free.

Favorite thing: Definitely not the most beautiful place on the Earth - Zenica is a cool town, good place to live with many parks, sporting centre and lots of youth. After the huge steel works were struck by crisis there are no 'red rains' in Zenica any more!

Fondest memory: Hiking on the hills around Zenica is great - it is one of not many places that had not been mined in Bosnia.
