Naravno da je svim zenicanima koji su vani a kad su na proputovanju kroz grad, neizbjezna posjeta jednom od najpoznatijih gradskih restorana - Kod Rasima

This fancy LCD display stands in sharp contrast to the rest of the rather shabby looking train/bus station. Note the international connections between all the Bosnian destinations. This is how most of the diaspora comes home to visit. The bus system is reliable and inexpensive for checking out all Bosnian towns. A round trip for example to Jajce will cost 14 Euros.
Like in most countries in Europe the truck and bus lobby seems to have won against the railways. The interesting train connection that still works in Zenica is to Sarajevo and then on to Mostar. After Sarajevo this is one of the most scenic rides in Europe passing through rugged terrain with a series of tunnels, U-turns and aquaducts and going from continental to mediterranean climate. It is also cheaper than the bus.
