From Banja Luka to Sarajevo you have to use just one road.Name of the road is 5.Road 5.
I warn you please drive very slow (fastest 60km) and watch the sign labels .Road is very narrow.Road follows to Vrbas river one side is sometimes 300m or 900m cliff one side is rock.
There are some tunnels all of them are dark.No lights. Also one tunnel is I was nearly make accident cause when you enter the tunnel after 50m (very dark tunnel, you cant see anything) it turns 90 degree rigth.I do not know excatly where it is ,I think before the JAJCE.
Also if you are driving a local license plate car( Croatian,Bosnian,Serbian)Local drivers disturb you with horn .They tell you why you are driving with 60km speed)They drive the car very fast in that bad conditioned road.
Road surface is ok.But it is very busy road (Military Trucks,Cargo trucks). It is very curvery road.
Very dangerous road.I suggest you , do not drive from Banja Luka to Sarajevo.
Last thing From The Bosnia Border (I have entered from Bosanska Gradiska) Traffic signs turning in Cyrilic Letters. If you do not know cyrilic alphabets it is really diffucult to know where do you go.

On the road follow the speed indications, even if they look ridicuolous to you. Police hide behind the bushes to catch you!!
