To Doboj by bus
Currently there is two bus stations in Doboj. Main bus station is run by Doo Bosnaexpres travel company and it is start point for travel to within Doboj municipality and from or to places that are not from Doboj municipality as well as for international bus lines. During floods from 15th May 2014 bus station suffered significant damage but it is reconstructed enough to serve its purpose. See its location here - Autobuska stanica DOO Bosnaexpres Doboj
In Doboj bus and train station are not next to each other like in most of towns within country. There is about 600 m distance between both of station and it is very easy to reach by Walking
Traveling by bus is much expensive then train traveling but still is very active. Doboj is on crossroads all major roads within country and international roads.
There is very frequent long distance lines: 1. Doboj - Sarajevo, 2. Doboj - Banja Luka and 3. Doboj - Belgrade and 4. Doboj - Novi Sad and vice versa.
Also, very frequent lines are to wide surrounding of Doboja such as: Modriča, Gračanica, Jelah and Teslić.
There is a good connection with many country in Europe (via Zagreb and Ljubljana): Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. There is also majority of our emigration.
For Eastern Europe there no direct bus lines, starting with Hungary which is very close. Like base for furthered travel towards countries of Eastern Europe you can use Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zagreb or Vienna where you can find frequent bus connection.
Bus lines to Adriatic coast (Croatia and Montenegro) are especial active during summer! Bus lines for Greece and Bulgaria are active trough touristic offices during summer.

To Doboj by train
Doboj was a long time known like a rail crossroads in former Yugoslavia (after Vinkovci).
Still traveling by train within country is cheapest way to travel.
Especially Doboj is easily accessible by train.
From European countries there is direct railway lines are from Zagreb and Sarajevo.
Unfortunately, for this season (from December, 2013 till December 2014) there no train line Doboj - Budapest and line Doboj - Belgrade until future notice.
Train station in Doboj is located on outskirts of Doboj and it is directly connected with main street - Saint Sava street. From Doboj center - Park narodnih heroja via city bridge there is about 1,2 km or 15 minutes by foot on south or direct via city bridge. You can take a taxi in front of railway station and it is about 3 minutes ride, it usually worth about 5 KM or 2,5 euros but I never use it.
Bus station is across city bridge, not so close like in most of towns within country. It is about 600 m far from train station. You can walk direct across city bridge and slightly turn right after petrol station.

Doboj on foot
Walking is most convenient way of exploring Doboj. Settled on three rivers between mounting and hills Doboj is charming place with lots of mix of semi-urban and semi-rural elements. You can find here a toll building with elevator next to small typical family house and a rich green area next to wide parking area.
There no official public transportation trough town/city and that how small Doboj is.
Main street - Saint Sava street is a surrounding with wide pedestrian areas that follow it. It is nice to spend some time here day and night all year long. Main shopping zone is here and you can find some interesting cafes and fast food where you can taste local kebabs and pies and drink coffee or tee. Most local government and important building are here. I suggest to follow a wider path on right side of main street, where are shops, cafes and famous Ćiro monument.
I also suggest to visit Gradina fortress, Doboj main touristic attraction. Easy to find a path. From Konzum mall in center take right on King Alexander street and go straight to Doboj suburban call Old town, old city area. Both streets are mostly surrounded by small three that can make a small shade during the summer time.
Take notice on second Doboj park where you can find a cobblestone road, last remaining of past.
For fans of historical travels I suggest to go up on hill from central market area and cobblestone path and explore Pop Ljubina street that connect Gradina fortress and all four cities religions and its objects and monuments. It is like Dobojs Baščaršija.
Good news for all visitors is that all over the city are bilingual touristic information boards and signs.
NOTE: DOBOJ WAS SUFFERED GRAVELY BY FLOOD FROM 15TH MAY 2014 AND EVERY STORE WAS DESTROY!

Old skool train
I mostly took this train from Sarajevo to Doboj. It would leave Sarajevo at 10:20AM and get to Doboj by 2:45PM. It was around 16KM and pretty decent if you've traveled in this country before.
It's best to call the Train service peeps to check the times because they do tend to change and the paper is only semi-reliable.
There are also buses you can take as well as getting your famly to give you rides!! :) Buses are also not that expensive but unlike the train you cannot lock yourself up in the coup.
