Cruising down Tara river on a raft is a mystical experience. The nature is overwhelming. The canyon is second in size only to the Grand Canyon in Colorado and the water is potable in the whole length of the river. Adrenaline junkies should come in spring, when water levels are high. August/September is good time for families with kids or people who drink a lot and can't tell a paddle from a baseball bat.
Do you have problems getting going again after sleeping off the lunch beers with an afternoon nap? Try a 10 degree Celsius water fall at Tara river. This is part of the rafting cruise with tour operator Pkencijan. Don't do this if you have heart problems.
The river Tara is ideal for Kayaking. This is the camp owner's boat, he lets everybody go for a paddle free of charge. Make sure to to keep smaller kids on a rope and don't let them out there without a vest like my boy is doing here.
Equipment: They have everything in all sizes.
