Cevapi is a dish of grilled minced meat kebabs, found in the Balkans. They may be served on a plate or in a flatbread (lepinja or somun), often with chopped onions, sour cream, kajmak, cottage cheese, and so on.
Bosnian cevapi from the Bascarsija district of Sarajevo are well-known!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Charming small restaurant with rustic interior and wooden tables. The menu is not huge, but everything looks really good. FYI - Dveri means door in old Slavonic (or so I was told)
Open daily 11-23
Favorite Dish: I had the polenta with garlic, smoked bacon and kajmak cheese served in a thick ceramic dish - heavenly. So good, in fact, that I came back a few days later to have it again. Guess I'll have to wait til next year to try something different.
Recommend the local (or house) red with the polenta.

I can see that some people have already written a review of this restaurant, but I just want to add my voice to their praise - it's great! The interior is really beautiful, lots of colourful lamps, little seating nooks and tables with great views.
The food is lovely, even if you're a fussy vegetarian like me! It's also reasonably priced which is always nice :) There's a good selections of beers, wine, juices etc too.

Favorite Dish: Cevapi (chevapi) are tasty little sausage-like thingies made of minced meat. They can be found all over town in places called Cevabdžinica. Try them - you won't regret it. They're really huge in Sarajevo.

We only drank a beer (4KM for 0,5l) and ate a salad there, which was nice. The great thing about this restaurant is it's view over Sarajevo. The food is slightly more expensive then average (i think about 12-20KM for a meal)

This restaurant offers a big variety of vegetarian meals and meals with seafood, all inspired by the Japanese kitchen. It's not the cheapest in town, but still a good price (especially compared to prices in Holland). A meal will cost you about 14-25KM. Everyone of the group thought it was really worth it, very good.
Favorite Dish: Sushi, just because I really like sushi, and it was fine sushi. It was made by hand, not by a machine as you see in most sushi restaurants in western Europe. The rice had a slightly different structure then I'm used to, but it tasted great :)
Also the Paella was great.

You can try any cafes and restaurants. They are clean, careful and have a high sense of good service.
They have a price policy that all drinks and foods are between a close range. A holiday Inn and street cafes are almost the same about beverages.
Also they are always bringing menu with prices. On the other hands prices are low and foods are delicious.
But Not only delicious, clean and they are served by a sincere smile.
