by TZBosnia The most important thing to know is if you want to go into a mosque, please take your shoes off, and both women and men should try not to wear anything short or skimpy. If possible, women should cover their head with a scarf, but I am sure no one will make a problem out of it. Oh, and there are no tips in cafes, but if you leave one, it will be most appreciated. When you go to someone's house, take your shoes off. Also, not only is it ok to eat burek or cevapi with your hands, but a lot of the people do it, even in public. Oh, and try to go and see a folk dance by a professional dance group. It's really great. You can ask them if they have a performance or go to a rehearsal. The best ones are in the club 'Bosna', which is right by the theater downtown, or 'Ceric', which is across the street from the hotel 'Tuzla', a bit behind the University building. Leave a Comment

There's one thing everybody seems to notice in Tuzla (and the whole of Bosnia). Everything's 'relaxed' and there's a sentence that goes 'NEMA PROBLEMA', meaning no problems. Don't take this line as a serious one :-) Leave a Comment

1. Whenever you enter someone's home, it is customary to take your shoes off. Many times, the host will provide slippers. 2. If you're entering a Mosque, take your shoes off. Try to go into one with a practicing Muslim so you can see what they do. 3. Try to greet people when you walk into their stores or shops. Leave a Comment
