A piece of Love

A private house, built in the beginning of the previous century hosts the museum. Most of the objects present the Hristo Ionchev-Kriskarets and his family. He is one of dozens good painters born in Samokov. The house is a real living one. Maria Ioncheva, daughter of the famous painter and host in the museum will introduce you to the house and present the spirit of the early 20th century, his father and family life. You could see the two family trees, old and not so furniture, local embroidery, herbs from Rila mountain, family albums, drawings and other memories.

Maria is really nice. It's a good idea to bring something with you, as she wouldn’t take any entrance fee or other money.

Rastsvetili iabolki i krushi....

To visit them you need to call in advance. But this is a very good opportunity to meet interesting and welcoming people. I would enjoy a second visit there as much as the first one. The club gather people who worked there, most of them builders and architects, people who studied there or just like the culture and the country. The guests and the members present live music, which goes very well with the Vodka. Instruments varied depend on the participants. The club members gather Tuesday afternoon and, as usual they have at least one guest and/or presentation. In any case its different and interesting. Try it!
