Zemen Travel Guide

 peter_dimov Says:  The rock formation known as "Arkata" (Arch) is near Zemen in the valley of Struma. However, the trail to it is pretty tough.Also many other rock sites, many of them difficult to reach, despite easy to photo from distance. 

 Childish Says:  I don't have info about this church, it was closed when we arrived there in the afternoon. 

 Childish Says:  The monastery is located in a half-hour walking distance from the town. The frescoes of the church are very beautiful although that only some remains survived. Some ot the frescoes date back to 11th century (St. Ana) but most of them are from 14th century. The wall paintings...

 peter_dimov Says:  Note: the waterfall is available from Zemen only by train! There is a road by car, but it's not very good and I don't know where it goes. 

 peter_dimov Says:  This is for the people who don't fear to get wet inside to their bones! :-) No chance to get dry from the wet trail, because it passes under the Skakavitsa waterfall.
