Varovnik Travel Guide

On the edge of Varovnik is the Kiro Prodanov’s truffles farm. We’ve visited the farm on 1st of june 2005 with a group of 10 farmers. We have been introduced to the farm, it’s history and the mushrooms they’re cultivating. The Italian dog Mario searched truffles for us. It is an interesting visit, but in case you are interested you should call to Kiro in advance.

We've took (1st June 2005) the Sozopol - Primorsko - Jasna poliana - Novo Panicarevo - Krushevets - Inge voivoda - Varovnik. This was a heavy time for our mini-bus! In case you are travelling by car/bus - it's much better to use Sozopol-Burgas-Sredets-Varovnik roads. Of course the one we've used is perfect for bicycles. In any case !be careful! - there are free semi-wild pigs and possibly you are going to meet some woodcutters. Of course Orhis are there too.
