Dak's Bar: Tequilla it is

by gib157

We read a little leaflet about Dak's bar and decided to go along. Theres not much of a nightlife scene in Pamporovo but Dak's was a fun place to be. There was writing all over the walls and you are incouraged to add to it. The music was good and the staff very nice. The drinks were amazingly cheap. At happy hour shots of tequilla worked out at around 30p and it was buy one get one free. Needlesses to say it didnt cost much to have a good time there! No dress code, except skiis I should think.

Nighlife in Bulgaria

by ger4444

What then, has Bulgaria for the party-people to offer? Enough. You can if you want spend your whole time in Bulgaria partying everyday from dusk till dawn. There are these places like Zlatni Pyasatsi (by tourists called Golden Sands), that have on every corner a club or disco where can find all you need; these places are the Walhalla for the real clubber; open till 5 or 6 am, the nightlife or early morning life continues after the clothing time of these establishments at the open bars on the streets where you, around this time, can see the drunken tourists lying and sleeping on the streets or vomiting around; that’s cool… But of course you can then also go to Ibiza or Mailorca; same scenery. A better place for clubbing is then Varna; a lot of locals go there in the summer and the partylife in Varna is totally different from that in Zlatni; but its of course a question of taste. Then,...

Alcohol...

by barryg23

In the hotel where we stayed, a bottle of Vodka cost the equivalent of 50 Irish pence (less than a Euro!), and beer was the equivalent of 12p. For a group of 16 year olds this was heaven indeed! Bring 50 Euros and you'll be drunk for a month.

Club Amor: Latin dancing seems a craze

by Dr.Knockboot

Hidden at an intersection underpass is Club Amor. It was a 5 cover, but as soon as they realised we were foreiners we got comped. Once inside it was loud and packed. The theme is Salsa and the crowd was mainly older University students to mid-twenties type. Alot of women out with friends for a good time. They club had hired dancers who were very talented and encouraged the men massive to get up on the varied stages and dance with them. Alot of fun. Be a gentleman, there were a few hard nosed chaps scattered about. The drinks were cheap and the service was quick. The had Corona in large tubs with ice. Club was open until 4 am, and most stayed until the end. Dress code was relaxed, no face control or anything. Most dressed smart though and darker colours prevailed. Women were dressed well, mostly weaing dresses to help with the effect while dancing salsa.

The Bulgarians like to party...

by mocca

The Bulgarians like to party and drink, so there are many places to go and have fun. There are bars with top 50 music, with local music (if so, make sure you participate in the traditional bulgarian dances, it ain't too hard and the people will love your effort.) With rock music, with live music (bulgaria has soem good live bands, check out D2, or Poduena blues band)

If you are in Sofia on a Tuesday night and are into Hip-Hop, R&B, you can head to the Maria Luisa outdoor pool complex located in the big park in Central Sofia for the 'Cherno Party' as it is called in Bulgarian. At least this was the case in the summer of 2001. The crowd can be somewhat young, depending on the night. And bring your bathing-suit! You can also head there during the day to escape the heat! Anything goes!

La Bibliotekata (The Library)....

by M.C.W.

La Bibliotekata (The Library). There is a pub located on the side entrance of the building and can be pretty good depending on the night. It usually has live music! Part of it also serves as an internet cafe, but if you go just to check your email in the evening, you will have to pay the cover charge!Good live music.Laid back atmosphere Anything goes!
