 desert_princess Says:  Wild plum fruits are still green and acid in June. They are good to be eaten when they turn yellow or red, depending on the variety. Watch out when you pick them from the tree,the branches have thorns. 

 desert_princess Says:  Horses are a common sight around the villages at the foothills of the mountain. They are still used to pull carts,as the only fuel they need is green grass and water. 

 desert_princess Says:  Jeleznitsa river runs through a forest deep into a narrow valley. The landscape is lovely , but make sure you have good hiking shoes to follow the water path. The rainshowers that dropped in june 2005 in the area made the level of the water raise tremendously and all bridges...

There is plenty in Vitosha , just watch in your feet because the tricky things are hiding under the leaves. They are absolutely delicious!!!!Herbs book says that the leaves are good... 

 desert_princess Says:  Signs are in BulgarianThe same problem as in Sofia - Signs are in Cirilic if existing at all.As a general rule ,don't rely on signs for orientation. First of all I've seen very few of them - take a good map of the area and a compass. Ah follow the trails . Sooner or later...
