Borisova Gradina Park
A huge park, looks like a forest in some parts. So many things there: stadiums, tennis-clubs, monuments, outdoor swimming pools, go-carts, tennis tables............... There is this this fantastic house decorated by carved wood and stone, made by a single man, they call it Dvoretza (the Palace), it's near the Russian Embassy (on the pics). I love this place.

Enjoy A Stroll In The Park - Borisova Gradina
This is Sofia's biggest and best known park and is certainly well worth a wander, especially to escape from the ubiquitous infernal-combusting engined machines for a short while. Boris's Garden was constructed in the late 19th century as the behest of the then mayor, Ivan Hadzienhov to be showcase for Bulgaria's Capital City.
A showcase it certainly is with miles of tree-lined avenues, interesting sculptures and many other features, including of course the obligatory Soviet Monument. Even on a November Monday lunchtime there were plenty of locals out enjoying their city-centre oasis and by all accounts it is especially popular with families during the summer.
I'd only visited between buses but next time I'll give it a proper visit.

Nobody Will Arrest You
Drinking beer or another drink in the Borisova Garden is a very romantic action. I will never forget my Athenian and Sofian park-drinkings.
