eating at Bachkovo: eating at Bachkovo
In Bachkovo there are some restaurants if you want to have a proper lunch but also some smaller places where you can have breakfast or just drink a coffee. We just entered one of them… did I say enter? Hm, actually ther was a stall with a lady preparing sandwiches and another one making coffee but there was also a protected area (with pvc) next to it with tables and chairs (pic 2).
Some other people just order something outside but it was extremely cold that morning and we preferred to have a break for some minutes.
The prices are low anyway: 0,80lev for a cappuccino (0,40euro), 2.30leva (1,15euro) for a kebap with bread etc

Vodopada restaurant: Tasty food, but bad service!
We have visited this restaurant in the middle of November on our way to Pamporovo. It's situated on your left next to the main road (if you are coming from Plovdiv), nearby the famous Bachkovo Monastery. This relatively big venue in folk style has two floors so you can choose where to sit. Once we sat we have been surrounded by some old-age-waiters who left us with very unpleasant feelings because of their service and the constant not very clever comments (they have also included in our bill something that we haven't ordered at all). The menu list is quite long, offering interesting dishes that I haven't seen in other restaurants. The prices are for sure above average (probably this is because the restaurant is situated next to a tourist attraction), but everything was extremely tasty and quite quickly cooked and prepared, so definitely worth trying. Apart from the really annoying waiters the other thing that we didn't like was the fact that you have to pay 2 BGN (1 EUR) for the parking infront of the restaurant.
Favorite Dish: Stewed potatoes with bacon, the meat balls with leek, the beans soup and the "Green rhapsody" desert (made out of green walnuts)
