On the 15th August is the Kalofer lace festival.There are exhibitions and demonstrations of weaving techniques.Every year masters of the lace show their abilities.It is very old craft which is handed down from mothers to their daughters

On the26th July there is a ceremony of worship in memory of the slaughtered Kalofer’s people by the bashi-bazouk and the town’s burning down in 1877 . The worship is held in the yard of the 'St. Trinity' church
